Pretty Ugly People

Pretty Ugly People is a reunion movie about friendship and readjusting. After getting gastric-bypass surgery, Lucy gets her college friends together for a long weekend, so she can finally feel like 'one of them.' Lucy, who’s never asked her friends for anything before, needs them “before her time is up.” A vague phone call with her friend, Becky, leads her to assume that Lucy is dying and they have to go. The friends believe they’re too busy to take time out for Lucy. But they all arrive at their Montana retreat to learn that Lucy has plans for them to go on a 4-day hike through the wilderness, with no place to hide.

According to the movie’s official myspace page, “The old friends convene from all over the country to join Lucy's side: a culturally-conflicted black Congressman (Phill Lewis) and his ghetto-centric wife (Octavia Spencer), a very straight male flight attendant (Larry Sullivan), a reformed schoolteacher (Melissa McCarthy) and her frigid husband (Philip Littell), a womanizing commodities trader (Josh Hopkins), and a very successful, Grammy Award Winning Hip-Hop Producer (Jack Noseworthy).”

The cast stars Missi Pyle, Melissa McCarthy, Larry Sullivan, Jack Noseworthy, Octavia Spencer, Josh Hopkins, Phil Lewis and Phillip Littell.
